We wish to advise that our Indoor Heated swimming pool is currently undergoing the final stages of urgent maintenance repairs.
Due to recent constant wet weather the pool has been unable to dry out sufficiently and therefore will remain closed until Wednesday 6 August 2025.
Our indoor pool and indoor spa will not be available for use during this time. Our other facilities of the outdoor spa, saunas and steam room will be available for guest use.
We apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause during your visit with us.
Phytofarm Medicine Making Workshops with Naturopath & Medical Herbalist

Valmai invites you to join her for an inspirational learning experience in herbal medicine, wellness and creating your own garden pharmacy. The herbal medicine making workshops offer the opportunity to learn about the growing and processing of medicinal plants to make wonderful natural products.
Phytofarm, herb garden is in the Okuti Valley, Little River near Christchurch.
The 12 hectare property has established forest areas, wetlands, plots of medicinal and culinary plants. The workshops include a tour of the garden and the medicine making sessions are held in purpose-built herb and drying sheds.
- Learn how to identify plants and gather plant materials to make a range of take - home natural products.
- Take home products and information on all the herbs used in the teaching sessions.
- Meet like-minded people or bring a group of friends and share a day in the country.
Choose a favourite season or enrol for the Four Season Programme.
Individual and half day classes can be structured to individual topics of interest.
Full day workshops from 10am – 4pm provide a delicious Phytofarm lunch.
Half day sessions from 10am - 1pm or 2pm – 5pm
